Fairfield by Marriott Cambridge

Pros: The property was new, clean and bed was comfortable. We had a new puppy that we had to bring along and the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. They all made a fuss over the toy poodle!

A hidden gem

Pros: Just off the interstate and convenient to restaurants, this hotel is a quite nice and built adjacent to a scenic hill. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate a truck and boat. I've stayed here previously and will again.

Comfortable, convenient location, friendly staff.

Pros: I loved the location, was conveniently located near the campground where my event was taken place. The staff was very friendly as well.

Cons: There was a odd smell in the room coming from the AC unit.

Cons: Was not walking distance to any restaurants.

Pros: I had an extremely quiet room despite it being on the first floor right next to the lobby. The bathroom was clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was will stocked and provided a lot of options.

Cons: The bed was a bit harder than I am used to, but the sheets and bedding were clean and comfortable.

Pros: location was great. mostly the food was fine. (scrambled eggs Yay!) but no bacon or sausage.

I travel there every year and will book this room again.

Pros: The facilities as a whole were very pretty, well decorated and clean. I actually had asked the person at the desk if the place was new and was surprised to find out it had been open for 9 years. The people that we interacted with were excellent too, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. They even accommodated our early check-in without hesitation. The location was also very convenient to shopping, the highway, and the town of Cambridge, which was why we were there, to see the holiday parade and the Dickens village.

Cons: The only reason I gave a little lower on cleanliness was the pool. It was very cold, but I don't fault them for that as I was informed that they had just replaced the heater a day or so prior to our stay and it was still catching up. That being said, the bottom of the pool seemed a little scummy, so I just feel like it could have been cleaned a bit better. The water itself seemed clean though and it wasn't over-treated with chemicals like some hotel pools I've been in. As for breakfast, it wasn't bad, and I appreciate that they had a vegetarian sausage option, but I think adding some regular sausage or bacon would be good for those with picky kids.
