Hotel with plenty of character

Pros: It has a lot of character and the location near the river is good. The restaurant food was good but the portions were excessive.

Cons: The hotel and rooms are very tired. A fridge would have been good.

Excellent !

Pros: Great location, great history. The bar and restaurant, lobby area and buffet breakfast were inviting, cozy and delicious. We walked all around the historic town and enjoyed the sitting area in the lobby in the evening.

Cons: Pealing paint in the room and could use some TLC

Pros: Its location. Center of town and not on the main highway.

Cons: Very loud AC.

A destination, not a way-station. Worth a two-night stay - or more.

Pros: Great location right beside the Ohio River in Marietta's historic, walkable, appealing downtown and nearby elegant residential area, with easy walking access to bridges across both the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers; convenient free parking; creatively restored entrance, lobby, restaurant, bar and ballroom; responsive, friendly staff; satisfying meals at both dinner and breakfast; quiet; comfortable bed; clean - especially the restored & modernized bathroom - with superb shower.

Cons: The hotel, built a century ago, has been added to and modified so that it required us to walk more than one hallway - and several corners - to get to our room.

Pros: The history of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Great location right in the town and beside the river.

This is a great place to stay on a trip to The Wilds. Much better than the standard motel.

Pros: The food and the view of the river. We enjoyed watching the barge traffic and fishing boats. The price is very reasonable.

Cons: The beds were too soft and caused pain.

We'll be back.

Historic hotel with great location and beautiful restoration.

Pros: Excellent location on the Ohio River with a view of the river. Historic restoration is lovely, and there are lots of photos, flyers, plaques that tell about the history. Especially liked the phone booth history!

Cons: Not very accessible. Stairs on both ends of the hotel to get it. The new wing is reached by stairs also, and is a loooong way from the elevator.

Cons: It was noisy - loud trucks all night.

It was what I expected very quaint and a little trip back in time.

Pros: I liked that it has been kept as close to its original style as possible, my only complaint was that one TV remote needed batteries and when I stopped by the front desk the keeper said I don't have any and I keep forgetting to get some. The rest of my stay was very nice.

Cons: The fact they did not have any AAA batteries for the TV remote. The first day I checked in there was a musty smell but they took care of that pretty quickly. Street noise folks really like the sound of their hot rods.
