Lovely hotel

Pros: We had a lovely stay here. Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice view (even from a room not facing the rest of town). Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Madison

Cons: Everything at breakfast was individually wrapped in plastic and only plastic/styrofoam cutlery/bowls were available. Would love to see some reusable options in the future!

Pros: The view was beautiful and the balcony was private. We were on the third floor and could see the bridge crossing over to Kentucy and the view of downtown Madison to the Smoke stacks towards Cliffy Falls.

Cons: A little more lighting in the main room, but overall a wonderful stay.

It was a great weekend getaway and we loved the Hillside Inn.

Pros: The view was amazing at sunset, we enjoyed hanging out on the balcony. The location was great.

Cons: The only thing I can complain about was our neighbors seemed to be moving furniture around constantly- it was a sellout and we were warned it would be noisier than normal.

Great time, Great time. Will be back.

Pros: I love that it is an older hotel, but also, well kept. We’ve stayed here multiple times over the years, and I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. When the weather is good, I love sitting in the rockers on the patio, and watching the cars go by. We couldn’t do that this time with the winter storm coming in, but we will certainly be back. It’s a little trip back in time without having to compromise on cleanliness….
