Pros: Great location, clean room with mini fridge and coffee machine

Cons: It was just a little confusing how to check in but not bad

Pros: Beautiful old building, clean and comfortable room, convenient location with parking. Good food options nearby, great access to scenic shores.

Cons: I visited in January during the off season. I was directed to a rental office to pick up a packet from a lockbox, then, following the map in the packet, I drove to the hotel property, and parked out front. I was directed to use a code and key fob for access, so I let myself in the front door and stepped back in time. A century hotel that has hosted presidents and celebrities throughout history, the decor is luxe historical, it's a gorgeous old building. I was literally alone in the building my entire stay, I never saw another living being from check in to check out. Weirdest hotel stay ever. As a solo traveler I have used Airbnbs, so following the directions in the packet was straightforward enough, but rattling around in an empty old hotel was very odd. No staff, no other guests that I saw. Good thing I don't spook easily. I feel like I was the ghost haunting the building. But I still enjoyed my stay, a night in a clean, comfortable room full of history. Just very weird.

The agent upgraded us to a beautiful corner room and we had a great experience.

Pros: Proximity to downtown. Room was very clean and well appointed.

Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.

Cons: Parking was tight and had we gotten there later I'm not sure if we would have found a spot but this was probably do to the snow covering the lines so people were often in 2 spots

Enjoyable stay in a convenient location

Pros: Very comfortable, large, spacious room. Location is perfect to walk to all the nice restaurants and bars which was our purpose of being there ☺️ The cleaning lady we ran into the morning of checkout was so nice and her offering to return our room key for us was very much appreciated.

Cons: The only issue with our room was the remote provided for the sitting room tv. The remote was a generic/universal remote and not the original remote for the tv. It did not have the necessary buttons/functions that would allow navigation to the streaming apps (Prime, Netflix, etc.) shown on the tv screen all of which we subscribe to and could have logged into. The remote permitted only the viewing of live tv. While disappointing, this did not ruin our stay.

Pros: Checking in and out was simple and well explained, workers really kind, and the place was clean and cute in a great location. Not cheap, but good value for the area and experience.

Pros: Beautiful location right across from Lake Erie with a beach to access. We stayed in a deluxe double suite. It was absolutely wonderful clean and very comfortable. Check in was a breeze. We came from Cincinnati to go to Cedar Point and chose this place for the value hoping it was OK and wow.. I will stay here everytime we come even tho it is a 25 minute drive to Cedar Point. Such a cute place. Can't wait to visit again.. also check out the history and the famous people who have stayed here and it may be a little haunted... you will enjoy your time if you stay. There are nice calm bar restaurants right on the same street.

Cons: The only thing we didnt enjoy was that we couldn't spend more time sitting in that room just relaxing.

Beautiful historic hotel at a reasonable price.

Pros: I love the old style of the hotel. The lobby is beautiful. We had a room with a separate bedroom and living room, each with their own tv. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. The location is great - a short walk to the ferry (saves parking fees) & near many good restaurants/bars downtown. There is no check person on site - you pick up a check-in packet a couple blocks from the hotel. This wasn't a problem as we stopped on the way to the hotel. The process is simple and quicker than waiting in line and checking in with a person.

Cons: Like many old hotels, the bathrooms are small, but it would help to have a shelf above the pedestal sink to set personal items.
