Nice place to stay

Pros: Main bedroom was great. Keurig coffee maker with coffee cups in the room. Two bathrooms, comfortable king bed. Nice sized refrigerator and microwave. Reading lights on the headboard.

Cons: Only one sheet for the sofa bed. No maid service, never saw any staff on site. Poor lighting in the kitchenette.

Decent place outside of downtown

Pros: The place was nice for a motel, with free coffee, wi-fi, and a comfy bed. The location was fine for driving into town or to Cedar Point, and puts you away from the crowds. A/C unit was appreciated.

Cons: The cell service is poor in the area, so ensure you have your room number and access code (sent digitally - link is in the email, not the Booking message) in advance of arrival. We had to drive to find a stable connection to get our room number. There was also an agreement form that must be signed in advance, and it took several tries to get a working link from the motel. The motel rep was helpful with getting this resolved. For room 9, be very careful with the water spout in the bath — it seemed very fragile.

it was far enough away of what could be chaos of bike week. The place felt safe, and the parking lot was well lit.

Pros: it was not too far from the bay. The place is American island, which is very rare nowadays.

Cons: at first, I thought I wasn’t going to like the totally virtual check-in, but a quick call to the number on the Booking.com email and any problem was resolved quickly by the two girls who owned the place so there was no problem with the virtual check-in whatsoever
