Quality Inn Athens

We'd stay there again if a slightly better hotel was not available or too pricey.

Pros: Staff were very nice. The rooms were basic - everything worked. Check in was fast. Hotel was in a nice area. The pool looked nice but we were only there from 11pm until 9am, so we did not use it.

Cons: The hotel was slightly older and could use a facelift. It was not worn out or out of repair, just rather dull and outdated. There were not charger cord plug-ins. Although the breakfast was hot and the fairly well stocked by staff, it was pre-packaged foods re-heated in a microwave, so really just okay. Only 2 hot selections - sausage patties and some type of reheated sunny-side up egg. Coffee was fair - not a lot of variety. No elevator - we were on the 2nd floor and it was hard carrying our items up the stairs.

Good value for the money.

Pros: It was a clean room for a good price. It's walkable to OU's campus which was important to us.

Cons: It's not the most modern facility, but it met our needs.

Pros: Very clean for the price and staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Pros: The hot breakfast was great. The room was clean and the beds were comfy.

Cons: I didn’t really like the location of the pool. I understand the need to be able to monitor the pool, but I didn’t really like having to traipse past the front desk in swimsuits. I couldn’t find anywhere in the room that said when checkout was. I looked on my Priceline receipt and it said checkout was 12:00. Luckily, I asked a housekeeper that was walking down the hall, so we got out by 11:00.

Pros: The entire place was VERY clean. The person at the desk warm and welcoming. Will stay again when we come to Athens

We were happy with our stay. Budget price without sacrificing essentials.

Pros: This hotel was great value. For the price, the swimming pool and hot tub area were very nice and we enjoyed using them. Also, for a hotel in this price range, the breakfast was pretty good. The location was right next to the freeway ramp, and near 2 good restaurants. Otherwise, the area was quiet through the night since it was not near major shopping. We would certainly stay here again.

Cons: The one exterior door near our room would not latch, so technically anyone could have entered the building at any time. There was a minor floor issue in the main hallway, but according to a sign on the wall it was going to be addressed. For now it was covered with rugs.

Pros: Clean affordable and the gentleman at front counter was very nice.

Good stay for the price.

Pros: They updated the flooring since a year ago. Looks much nicer. Room was clean and large. Bed was comfortable, Breakfast was typical motel fare but adequate and included scrambled eggs and ham slices. Very quiet. Next to a restaurant.

Staff and housekeeping very kind and accommodating

Pros: Conveniently located near shops, restaurants and Ohio University

Cons: The bathrooms are outdated and they don’t have an elevator

Good and not pricey

Pros: Very nice stay for a relatively low price. Reasonably close to Ohio University. The included breakfast was convenient as well.

Cons: Noise level from the heating unit and the nearby rooms was a bit high. The hairdryer was dusty and worked rather inconsistently.
