Carter Caves State Resort Park

Pros: I was here at the end of October, off season. It was very quiet, not many people around. There are a few trails that start from the lodge, and the autumn atmosphere was really beautiful. The room had a little balcony facing the forest, a beautiful sight. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower. I liked that there was no carpet in the room. That is a big plus in my book.

Cons: The address noted in booking.com is not correct. I arrived in the dark and it led me in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, I came along a state police car and they guided me towards the lodge. The room could have been cleaner, there was dust in the corners, and there was only one soap bar, no shampoo or conditioner or lotion, very basic equipped.

Nice stay at the beautiful Carter Caves

Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is great, within Carter Caves. We asked to change rooms and be moved to the upper floor and they swiftly moved us up.

Cons: The lobby of the hotel is a bit old and in need of renovation. There's a bit of a smell of old carpet/curtains. There was no milk for cereal at the breakfast buffet so you have to ask the staff and they bring you milk in cups which you then have to transfer to the bowl. It would be more practical to just to have a jug with milk so that guests can self serve as with the rest of the food at the buffet...

We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Pros: Both were excellent! The staff were friendly, kind and very attentive. They were also very knowledgeable about the resort.

Cons: The weather. Lol. Everything was great!

Pros: The breakfast was awesome! Well, the dinner was also 😆

Pros: Perfect location for a weekend getaway. The staff is nice and the rooms are always very clean.

Pros: It's always so amazing staying with you. Very clean and quiet.

Cons: We loved every part of our stay there!

Kentuckys hidden state park gem

Pros: This was a govt shutdown blessing. We would not have gone here if Mammoth Cave wasn't shutdown during Trump's longest shutdown of America. This state park is a true gem. The rangers are wonderful. The tours and hiking was great!!! The cabin itself was a cabin but had a working fireplace which really made it !

Cons: Electric and coffee pot wasn't working right and the toilet was running. Could do with some better upkeep. Also there was caution tape around our cabin which was weird.

Pros: The staff and facilities were perfect. Our room was clean and if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask.

Cons: Missed a microwave in the room, but the coffee maker was a plus.

Great place to visit and stay

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The lodge is showing a little bit of it's age but was still nice. Staff was friendly and responsive. It was a really pleasant stay and was very happy with the experience.

Cons: I didn't like that you could reserve space for the cave tour even as someone staying there. It was one of the reason for booking a room but had to get up and get in line for a ticket early.

Pros: Great hotel, wonderful location if you’re passing thru, or looking for a great park resort
