Hillside Hideaway

Overall comfortable, just could use a little love to make it perfect.

Pros: The location is very convenient to Hocking County Fairgrounds, where we were heading for the weekend. It was very homey feeling. (Like you were spending the night at grandmas house cozy) The hot tub was perfect and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and enjoy a family meal. The doors locked easily to provide a safe feeling.

Cons: There was a few small issues that didn’t ruin the trip but did make it a little less than perfect. The house clearly has no smoking rules but it definitely smelled like people had smoked inside, as proven by the few burn marks in the sofa. The bedding in the upstairs bedrooms was kind of old and itchy feeling, and the linens could use a refresh. The upstairs bedrooms had an attic feel and smell as well as temp control issues. The television in the bedroom didn’t have a remote, but I was able to use the app on my phone. The TV in the living room was basically unusable, it would t connect to any streaming apps and didn’t have cable. The grill was unusable, so we had to improvise. The most jarring part was my car alarm being set off by someone trying to open the doors. Definitely make sure you lock up your belongings.
